What you will do

• Support MySQL, Oracle, Couchbase, AWS RDS, and Kubernetes EKS in multi-region 24x7 production.
• Perform capacity planning, health checks, performance tuning, and query optimization.
• Implement and maintain DR/HA solutions, backups, replication, and security hardening.
• Automate database deployments, patches, and changes using DevOps practices and IaC.
• Design and manage EKS clusters for microservices and containerized applications.
• Collaborate with dev teams on database design, tuning, and troubleshooting escalations.
• Participate in rotational on-call for after-hours/weekend support and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in CS/MIS or related + 1-2 years hands-on DBA in production
• Experience with MySQL, AWS RDS, Oracle 19c RAC/ASM
• AWS services: RDS, EC2, IAM, Security Groups, VPC
• Kubernetes hands-on; IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, YAML, GitHub, Docker)
• Unix/Linux admin, shell scripting, backups, replication, patching, upgrades
• Performance tuning, indexing, Oracle Data Guard/GoldenGate/OEM
• Willingness for rotational on-call weekends
• Strong communication for cross-team collaboration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Jenkins CI/CD, Groovy
