What you will do

• Design, install, configure, and maintain cloud-based database environments like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, DynamoDB, and Snowflake.
• Monitor performance, tune queries, and resolve bottlenecks for optimal operation.
• Implement security measures including access control, encryption, backups, and recovery procedures.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, replication, and high-availability setups.
• Automate maintenance tasks using IaC and CI/CD, and create documentation for configurations.
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, escalate to vendors, and collaborate with development and operations teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in database management, including cloud systems.
• Expert proficiency in RDBMS platforms (three or more: MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills; familiarity with PL/SQL or T-SQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS, replication, HA/DR, migrations, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of GitHub, Agile methodologies, IaC, and CI/CD for databases.
• Experience in leadership, risk management, and strategic planning.
