TL;DR
Senior FPGA Engineer: Design and implement FPGA and SoC-based solutions for advanced medical systems with an accent on high-bandwidth streaming applications, high-speed interfaces, and complex signal processing. Focus on full development lifecycle from requirements and architecture through implementation, verification, and release, solving system-level debugging and high-speed design challenges.
Location: Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Eindhoven region; hybrid setup with at least 3 days/week onsite (100% remote is not possible)

What you will do
- Design, implement, and verify FPGA designs based on customer and product requirements
- Contribute to requirements definition, architecture, implementation, testing, and release
- Develop high-speed designs and interfaces for medical devices and platforms
- Perform system-level debugging and functional simulations
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and participate in design and code reviews
- Estimate work, contribute to planning, maintain backlogs, and communicate progress to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Informatics, or related field
- 10+ years of relevant experience preferred (strong profiles from 5+ years considered)
- Strong expertise in VHDL and/or Verilog
- Hands-on experience with major FPGA vendors and their toolchains
- Proven experience in high-speed digital design and interfaces
- Strong debugging skills using system-level techniques and simulation test benches
- Fluent in English for deep technical discussions
Nice to have
- Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and regression test frameworks
- Solid track record in writing specifications and design documentation
- Background in safety-critical domains (automotive, aerospace, defense, medical)
