What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable services and infrastructure to mitigate disputes and chargebacks
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and operations to develop insights and enhance risk systems
• Integrate with third-party vendors and payment networks for chargeback mitigation
• Develop and optimize dispute and remediation strategies as risks evolve
• Ensure high observability through monitoring, alerting, and operational improvements
• Follow best practices like modular design, APIs, automated testing, and contribute to engineering processes

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Payments or Fintech as a backend software engineer
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (Java, Kotlin, or Python preferred); React or equivalent a plus
• Familiarity with high-scale web architecture, APIs, data pipelines, and efficient algorithms
• Track record of delivering end-to-end software products from ideation to testing
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and translating technical solutions to business outcomes
• Knowledge of experimentation, machine learning, and data-driven decision-making
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent
