Location: San Mateo, CA headquarters office (Monday-Friday in office with option to work from home one day per week)
Salary: $116,000 to $150,000 + equity + benefits

What you will do
- Work with engineers on new projects from scratch and within the existing codebase
- Build back-end wiring, application logic, and UI for products
- Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new platforms and technologies
- Collaborate and communicate across multiple development teams to design and release products
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Excellent programming skills in Java or other object-oriented language
- Modern best practices in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Strong communication, analytical-reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Passion for improving education through technology
Nice to have
- Knowledge of MongoDB and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
