Solution Designer (webMethods)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end solution design for integration initiatives using webMethods and cloud services on AWS and Azure.
• Elicit requirements, define architecture patterns, and produce detailed designs including HLD/LLD, context diagrams, and runbooks.
• Design API-led, event-driven, and batch integrations with protocols like REST/SOAP, JMS, SFTP, EDI.
• Specify AWS and Azure components for integrations and hybrid connectivity, including security and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with delivery, security, and platform teams on governance, standards, and operational readiness.
• Support delivery through clarification, estimates, reviews, and adherence to integration standards.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years in integration solution design/technical architecture in consulting or enterprise environments
• Proven experience designing integrations with Software AG webMethods (Integration Server, Universal Messaging, API Gateway).
• Strong knowledge of API design, messaging/eventing, data mapping, integration patterns, AWS services (API Gateway, Lambda, SQS/SNS, EventBridge), and Azure services (API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus).
• Experience with hybrid cloud connectivity, security (IAM, encryption), DevOps practices (CI/CD), and operational aspects (observability, HA/DR).
• Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; relevant certifications advantageous.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in API platforms, event-driven integrations, integration modernization programs.
• Background in consulting, product-led SaaS, or large-scale transformations.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or webMethods certifications.
