What you will do

• Implement guidance and navigation software within COTS frameworks like ArduPilot.
• Support airframe design activities.
• Integrate software with flight hardware.
• Develop real-time embedded software including hardware interfaces and vendor drivers.
• Collaborate in Agile processes with small teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related.
• 10+ years in professional object-oriented software development.
• Experience with guidance algorithms for UAS using commercial autopilot frameworks.
• Practical understanding of fixed-wing and rotary-wing flight dynamics.
• Software development on microcontrollers (STM32) and Linux on Nvidia Jetson, AMD/Xilinx SoC, or Microblaze.
• Real-time embedded software, hardware interfaces, Agile/Scrum/CI/TDD.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision on small teams.

Nice to have

• Current or previous DoD security clearance.
• Part 107 remote pilot certification.
• EO/IR or radar sensor integration.
• Firmware with VHDL on AMD/Xilinx FPGAs.
• Git, DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD, high-TRL systems development and V&V.
