Radar Software Engineer

TL;DR

Radar Software Engineer (Radar Systems): Research & Development and production software for next-generation radar products with an accent on system integration on COTS hardware and supporting deployed capabilities for U.S. and international customers. Focus on designing radar modes & algorithms, signal processing, target detection, and tracking.

Location: Full-time on-site in Hawthorne, California, United States. U.S. Person status required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $120,000 - $170,000

What you will do

• Develop R&D and production software for next-generation radar products.
• Support system integration of software on mostly COTS hardware.
• Maintain and support deployed software capabilities for U.S. and international customers.
• Collaborate on multiple capabilities across product offerings and expand skillset.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related.
• 5+ years in professional object-oriented software development.
• Extensive Python experience.
• Experience with Agile processes including Scrum, CI, and TDD.
• Solid Linux software development experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in small teams.
• U.S. Person status required.

Nice to have

• Development in ground/airborne sensors (radars, EO/IR, EW).
• Radar modes, algorithms, signal processing, target detection/tracking.
• DoD security clearance.
• Networks, CUDA, SDRs (e.g. Ettus), advanced time sync.
• Near-real-time embedded SW, git, containers (Docker), cloud/virtualization.
• BIOS/Secure Boot/TPM, drive encryption, 2D/3D visualization (SIMDIS).
• DoD architectures (OMS, SOSA, Link-16), modeling/simulation (DIS, AFSIM).
• Production SW with DevOps/DevSecOps/CI/CD, full lifecycle high-TRL systems.
• Additional languages: C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, Go.
