What you will do

  • Implement custom WordPress theme based on _s with componentized templates from annotated Figma designs.
  • Model content using ACF Pro (repeaters, options pages, field validation) and connect to dynamic views.
  • Build responsive reusable sections (hero, grids, accordions, tabs, sliders, forms) with keyboard support and accessibility.
  • Optimize performance including image handling, lazy loading, CLS prevention, and caching.
  • Integrate Gravity Forms, GTM/GA4 tracking, and ensure cross-browser compliance via collaboration with QA.
  • Follow Git workflows, code reviews, branching, CI practices, and contribute to design system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years building custom WordPress themes (not page builders) with PHP and query optimization proficiency.
  • Expertise in semantic HTML, modern CSS (Grid, Flexbox, custom properties), vanilla JS/TypeScript.
  • Strong ACF Pro experience (repeaters, options pages, data modeling) and Gutenberg blocks.
  • Accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.0 AA, ARIA, focus management) and responsive cross-browser development.
  • Performance optimization (Lighthouse, image handling, lazy loading, layout shift minimization).
  • Git/CI workflows, GA4 via GTM, cookie consent, and UI elements like megamenus/sticky headers.
