TL;DR

Senior Frontend Engineer (WordPress): Build a custom WordPress theme and reusable sections/components for a corporate website with an accent on accessibility, performance optimization, and content modeling. Focus on implementing responsive layouts from Figma designs, enforcing WCAG 2.0 AA standards, and optimizing Core Web Vitals.

Location: 100% Remote (Bogota mentioned in conditions)

What you will do

Implement custom WordPress theme based on _s with componentized templates from annotated Figma designs.
Model content using ACF Pro including repeaters, options pages, and field validation for dynamic views.
Build responsive reusable sections like hero, grids, accordions, tabs, sliders, forms with keyboard support and accessibility.
Optimize performance for Core Web Vitals, image handling, lazy loading, and integrate Gravity Forms and GTM/GA4.
Collaborate with QA on cross-browser compliance, resolve defects, contribute to design system, and follow Git/CI workflows.

Requirements

5+ years building custom WordPress themes with PHP and query optimization proficiency.
Expertise in semantic HTML, modern CSS (Grid, Flexbox), vanilla JS/TS.
Strong ACF Pro experience (repeaters, options pages) and Gutenberg blocks.
Accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.0 AA, ARIA, focus management) and responsive cross-browser development.
Performance optimization (Lighthouse, lazy loading, CLS prevention) and UI elements like megamenus.
Git/CI workflows, GA4/GTM integration, cookie consent.
