BigCommerce Developer (eCommerce): Developing custom themes, widgets, and interactive features for eCommerce sites using BigCommerce platform with an accent on Stencil framework, Storefront GraphQL API, and theme customization. Location: 100% remote from anywhere worldwide, must work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PST. Company HQ: Los Angeles, CA, US.

Salary: $17–$35 per hour starting base pay (CA, NY, WA, CO; may vary outside).

What you will do

• Build custom widgets, reusable components, and data-driven features using Storefront GraphQL API and Stencil utils.
• Develop and customize BigCommerce themes, migrate sites from other platforms.
• Integrate third-party apps, payments, shipping, and taxes.
• Optimize page speed, implement SEO/CRO, upgrade from Blueprint to Stencil.
• Create responsive HTML5/CSS3 designs from PSDs, ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
• Collaborate with leads, PMs, designers; manage multiple projects under tight deadlines using GIT.

Requirements

• Experience creating custom widgets and components in BigCommerce.
• Proficiency with BigCommerce Storefront GraphQL API, Stencil framework (Handlebars, front matter), storefront/store util-APIs.
• Expert in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/ES5/6, jQuery; strong responsive design, cross-browser, W3C standards.
• Minimum 2 years BigCommerce development experience.
• Strong written/spoken English; availability for 40h/week 9am-6pm PST.
• Reliable remote setup: fast PC, mic/speakers, webcam, stable internet/power; ability to multitask, detail-oriented.

Nice to have

• WordPress, Magento, Shopify experience.
• ReactJS/AngularJS, PHP/MySQL, AJAX.
• BigCommerce certification.
