Staff Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base pay: $202,500–$274,000 per year, plus potential cash bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Partner with AI scientists to create features from underlying data and build pipelines for training and deploying models.
• Build machine-learning-ready feature pipelines and implement machine learning algorithms.
• Run A/B tests, analyze results, and assess the impact of deployed models.
• Monitor and maintain production models supporting highly scalable applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, AI scientists, and product engineers, presenting complex technical results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and connect them to customer benefits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with data science tools and frameworks such as Python, Scikit, NLTK, NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, Keras, R, and Spark.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques and principles, including classification, regression, clustering, training, and validation.
• Knowledge of SQL and data processing, computer science fundamentals, Git workflows, and production-ready software development.
• Experience deploying software for millions or more users and integrating applications with AWS or GCP.
