What you will do

• Lead internal design reviews and oversee technical aspects of projects, identifying resource needs.
• Assume leadership in system and sub-system design, defining sub-systems and developing product strategies and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with development teams on technical guidance, trade-offs, scheduling, budgeting, and change management.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs using 3D CAD and 2D fabrication drawings, create ECN/ECO documents.
• Build, debug, and test prototypes; assist NPI team with customer early access units.
• Work with procurement and supply chain to identify alternative vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering; advanced degree a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling, drawing creation, and EPDM; FEA using Solidworks Simulation or Ansys Workbench.
• Experience with PLM software (TeamCenter, WindChill), authoring ECN/ECOs, GD&T standards, detailed mechanical drawings, schematic/cable/harness drawings, OEM component selection.
• Familiarity with traditional manufacturing/machining methods, CE/UL/SEMI/ISO/NFPA standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills; ability to resolve complex issues independently; up to 20% travel.
