Location: Preferred in Mexico City (Polanco offices), open to other hirify.global offices in Mexico. Up to 50% travel required. No work visa sponsorship or relocation.

What you will do

• Develop self-sustainable collection and recycling programs for carton packages via trade organizations or customer partnerships.
• Conduct market competitiveness analysis and material flow costing for packaging formats.
• Visualize and map Mexico's collection and sorting value chain.
• Deploy action plans with corporate affairs for fair packaging legislation under circular economy laws.
• Initiate and manage recycling/collection investment projects using project management methodologies.
• Support customers on circular economy regulation compliance and lead technical advocacy.
• Secure compliance with local regulations, manage reporting, audits, and thought leadership activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in industrial or environmental engineering + master’s/postgraduate in packaging waste collection/sorting; MBA highly recommended.
• 7-8+ years in waste management, focusing on beverage container collection/sorting, municipalities, and solid waste industry.
• Deep knowledge of solid waste management, EPR, and Mexico-specific circular economy regulations.
• Proven experience in collection/sorting projects, material flow analysis, ecofee calculations, LCAs, and change management.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel pivot tables/dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, MS Project), PowerBI.
• Highly proficient English (written/verbal); excellent communication, presentation skills; ability to work under pressure.
