Logistics Specialist – Evening Shift (Carrier Sales/Brokerage): Secure carrier capacity and manage shipments for 40+ customers with an accent on balancing service, cost, and capacity in import, export, and U.S. domestic freight. Focus on monitoring performance, negotiating rates, proactive communication, and optimizing transportation outcomes.

Location: Monterrey, MX (Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days remote). Evening shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, rotational schedule including weekends, 2 days off per week (rotational).

What you will do

• Secure carrier capacity for loads and shipments, influencing during tight markets.
• Monitor shipments end-to-end, updating status and communicating proactively with shippers/receivers.
• Negotiate rates with carriers/customers, manage detention/expedite approvals, and reschedule appointments.
• Build relationships with carriers, shippers, receivers; train on TMS tools.
• Identify performance trends, recommend improvements, and support multi-node coordination.
• Assist in onboarding customers/vendors, create SOPs, and own assigned accounts.

Requirements

• 1+ years in logistics, transportation, or customer service
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Intermediate to Advanced Spanish and English (written/verbal/presentation)
• Strong negotiation/communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas)

Nice to have

• 3+ years experience in logistics/transportation/customer service
• Understanding of freight operations (import/export/domestic)
• Experience with reporting/analytics (BI tools, data validation)
• SAP experience
