Mission Integration Engineer, User Products (Starshield): Serve as core customer contact for Starshield communications and data systems from requirements verification to hardware, software, and network integrations with an accent on mission success and end-to-end alignment. Focus on developing integration plans, driving prototype development across stakeholders, and supporting all program phases including testing and operations.

Location: Hawthorne, CA (onsite). Must be U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee per ITAR. Top Secret Security Clearance required. Must pass DoD background checks.

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year (Level I/II).

What you will do

• Serve as customer interface in meetings, tests, and reviews to develop integration plans and architectural overviews.
• Distill customer requirements into actionable objectives and ensure on-time contract deliverables.
• Drive prototype development by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders across subsystems.
• Support full program lifecycle: pre-sales, integrations, testing, troubleshooting, and steady-state operations.
• Educate customers on designs and methodologies while aligning with hardware, software, network, security, and sales teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 2+ years in aerospace or defense industry.
• 2+ years technical project management and/or systems engineering.
• Experience with satellite communications networks and IP networks.
• U.S. citizen/permanent resident/refugee/asylee (ITAR); Top Secret Clearance; DoD background checks.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
