What you will do

• Identify technical issues, gaps, and enhancement opportunities; document requirements, workflows, data mappings, and procedures in VA ALM tool.
• Collaborate with VA business users, OIT, developers, architects, and admins to define and refine solutions compliant with security and architectural standards.
• Research emerging technologies, perform proof-of-concept evaluations, and obtain approvals.
• Support development by clarifying requirements, conduct testing and validation for functionality, accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer; maintain accurate system documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in technical analysis, systems analysis, or IT support.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for systems, software, data, and integrations.
• Experience documenting technical requirements, workflows, diagrams, data mappings, and procedures.
• Working understanding of APIs, ETL, integrations, databases, cloud concepts, system architecture, IT infrastructure, and security.
• Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with VA LGY or federal initiatives using Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps.
• Infrastructure background, cloud-based security (AWS/AWS Transfer Family), Red Hat, Jenkins for Selenium.
• Familiarity with VA LGY stack: Salesforce, AWS, APIs, data platforms, analytics, Linux/Red Hat.
• Knowledge of VA security, data governance, compliance; Federal IT security processes (ATO, POAMs).
• Certifications: CISA, AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, CompTIA A+/Security+, ITIL, SAFe, CBAP.
