Sr Product Engineer (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Sr Product Engineer (Space Propulsion): Support space propulsion hardware business in recurring production programs and new design efforts with an accent on technical execution, design integrity, producibility, and quality assurance. Focus on developing tools and fixtures, assessing non-conformances, leading RCCA analyses, and coordinating cross-departmental hardware delivery.

Onsite – Niagara Falls, NY (Western New York). Travel to East Aurora facilities may be required. Ability to work onsite in Western New York required. Must obtain U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Salary: $95,000–$125,000 Annually (Niagara Falls, NY)

Part of Moog’s Space and Defense Group, the Engines Business Unit supplies rocket engines, propellant tanks, and propulsion systems for spacecraft, launch vehicles, and defense missions.

What you will do

• Provide assembly/test instructions, training, and monitoring to maintain production.
• Assure design integrity, producibility, and quality in development and production products.
• Develop and improve tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
• Assess non-conformances and technical issues during assembly and test.
• Lead RCCA analyses for long-term solutions to recurring problems.
• Coordinate with departments to eliminate roadblocks and ensure on-time hardware delivery.
• Participate in hands-on prototyping, customer presentations, and technical reviews.
• Mentor and coach other product engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (or comparable field).
• Minimum 5 years of related experience (8 years preferred).
• Proven experience writing detailed work instructions.
• Strong technical foundation and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated communication skills and coordination with manufacturing, assembly, and test teams.
• Self-starting with project ownership and track record of successful project completion.
• Full physical including bloodwork and pulmonary function testing required.
