What you will do

• Program and configure Motorola handheld and mobile radios per state standards.
• Install radio equipment in vehicles, including wiring, mounting, and interior modifications.
• Install, inspect, and maintain antennas on vehicles and rooftops.
• Troubleshoot RF issues, signal loss, and connectivity problems.
• Support backend systems like repeaters interfacing with dispatch operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, testing, documentation, and field user support.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience with two-way radio systems, preferably Motorola.
• Hands-on programming of Motorola portable and mobile radios.
• Vehicle radio installation experience (wiring, mounting, configuration).
• Familiarity with RF systems, antennas, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use tools for physical tasks like drilling and cable routing.
• Comfort working at heights (rooftops occasionally).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Public safety radio systems experience (police, fire, EMS).
• Trunked systems (P25, DMR).
• Dispatch systems knowledge.
