TL;DR
DevOps Engineer (AWS/K8s): Assist in managing deployment pipelines, observability solutions, and infrastructure for ’s runtime engine supporting Federal business with an accent on CI/CD automation, cloud operations, and security. Focus on optimizing developer workflows, troubleshooting complex issues, and integrating new technologies for scalability and reliability.
Location: Hybrid - 3 days a week in SAP Office, Washington DC. US Citizenship required. This role will require working on Sundays as needed, with another weekday off.
Salary: $100,000–$150,000 base

What you will do
- Manage deployment pipelines for smooth software releases.
- Implement and maintain observability solutions for system performance.
- Support local development environments and developer workflows.
- Align infrastructure with development team project requirements.
- Improve infrastructure security through proactive measures and audits.
- Develop automation scripts and tools for operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies for scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years as DevOps Engineer, SRE, or similar.
- Proven software development experience, preferably at startups or top tech firms.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
- Proficiency in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Experience managing databases: MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB.
- Familiarity with security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and self-motivation.
