Platform Engineer

TL;DR

Platform Engineer (DevOps): Building and maintaining foundational infrastructure, tools, and workflows to enable seamless software development with an accent on CI/CD pipelines, cloud-managed services, and containerization. Focus on improving platform reliability, security, and cost-efficiency while empowering product teams to deploy and scale services effectively.

Location: Must be based in Seattle, WA (Onsite 5 days a week)

Salary: $130,000–$165,000 + 10% target bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and enhance internal platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, SRE, and security teams to streamline development workflows.
• Optimize the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while maintaining high standards of quality and security.
• Manage cloud-based infrastructure, containerization strategies, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions.
• Contribute to developer experience (DevEx) by maintaining and improving internal tooling.
• Apply Agile and Lean principles to improve overall engineering efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software development or engineering roles within a medium or large enterprise.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of DevOps, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Terraform, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, office-based environment.
