L2 Support Engineer

TL;DR

L2 Support Engineer (Linux): Providing 24x7 monitoring, maintenance, support, and deployment of virtualized store infrastructure software with an accent on Linux/Windows server management, troubleshooting, and customer IT support. Focus on handling incidents, patching systems, deploying SDS software, and managing corporate IT infrastructure.

Location: Bath, GBR - Hybrid

Compensation: 35K GBP + Shift allowances 15% annual

What you will do

• Answer emails, calls, and chats; log customer issues and identify trends.
• Monitor SDS software and infrastructure, troubleshoot, and escalate to operations team.
• Manage Windows and Linux servers, patch/update OS and software on appliances.
• Assist partners/customers with SDS software deployment.
• Handle IT maintenance tasks, corporate desktops/laptops, and new employee onboarding.
• Promote new products/technologies and maintain product knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in IT operational support with Linux OS.
• Good understanding of core internet technologies: routing/switching, DNS, DHCP, firewalls.
• Customer-facing technical role experience with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Analytical skills and willingness to learn new technologies.
