TL;DR

Testing & Commissioning Engineer (Cables): Engineering and execution of technical tasks for cable testing onshore and offshore with an accent on design of testing procedures, fault localization, and electrical tests during installation and commissioning. Focus on preparing technical documentation, site activities, and collaboration with clients and subcontractors.

Location: Hybrid in Milan, Italy (8 days per month). Availability to travel frequently for moderate periods and on short notice.

What you will do

  • Design and execute electrical tests during cable installation and commissioning.
  • Design and perform fault location activities on power cables.
  • Prepare technical documentation including procedures, drawings, and specifications for subcontractors.
  • Conduct site activities for testing and fault location.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, System Design, and Project Management departments.
  • Interface directly with clients and subcontractors on technical matters and provide support during tenders and execution.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Preferably 1+ years experience in offshore or technical environment.
  • Availability to travel frequently for moderate periods on short notice
  • Good communication skills, team player, problem-solving oriented.
