Field Engineer

TL;DR

Field Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles): Diagnosing and resolving vehicle software and hardware issues to maintain fleet uptime with an accent on rapid fault triage, on-road testing, and safety operations. Focus on providing actionable feedback to AI systems, ensuring 5-minute response times, and adhering to strict safety protocols during operations.

Location: Onsite in Herzliya, Israel - Sunday to Thursday during core office hours. Participation in on-call rotation required. Occasional international travel and training in London.

What you will do

• Perform on-site fault triage and repair vehicle software/hardware issues to maximize fleet uptime.
• Support on-road testing as safety driver, monitoring vehicle behavior and responding to hazards.
• Provide real-world feedback and insights to improve AI systems and vehicle performance.
• Collaborate with global teams via clear communication and structured handovers.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and contribute to process improvements.

Requirements

• Fluent in Hebrew and English.
• Hold a full Israeli Driving Licence.
• Strong vehicle diagnostics, software/hardware fault triage, and repair skills.
• Experience with diagnostic tools (Datadog, Mender), JIRA, and safety protocols.
• Ability to meet 5-minute response SLAs in fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with on-call rotations and occasional international travel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ADAS technology and on-road testing.
• L2 Automobile Mechanic certification.
• Background in advanced driving or safety operations.
