TL;DR

Java Backend Developer (Fintech): Participate in the development of new product features, support modernization efforts, and maintain existing applications with an accent on microservice architecture, cloud-based solutions, and complicated logic. Focus on evaluating technical solutions, conducting code reviews, breaking down work, and collaborating with Scrum teams including mobile developers.

Location: Prague, Czechia. Must be able to start daily at 09:00 AM Prague time. Conversational knowledge of Czech and English (writing and speaking) required.

What you will do

  • Develop new product features, support modernization, and maintain existing applications.
  • Deepen understanding of business domain, participate in requirement grooming and planning.
  • Evaluate technical solutions, identify risks, and contribute to design phase meetings.
  • Break down work, estimate tasks, perform pull requests, and ensure code quality.
  • Support Sprint commitments, document solutions, and improve CI/CD practices.
  • Collaborate with entire Scrum team, including mobile developers, on process improvements.

Requirements

  • Conversational Czech and English (writing and speaking).
  • 3+ years commercial Java experience.
  • Spring Boot, NoSQL DB, cloud-based development.
  • Apache Camel / WebFlux, microservice architecture.
  • Profound knowledge of development life cycle, infrastructure, and techniques.
  • Independent, communicative team player with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Availability to start daily at 09:00 AM Prague time.

  • Jira for Epic and User Story management.
