What you will do

• Install, operate, maintain, and dispose of Linux-based IT software using systems analysis to meet AF DCGS specifications.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems in AF DCGS Test and Operational Enterprises.
• Apply security patches, OS upgrades, and configure Yellowdog Update Manager for Linux patches.
• Perform daily system checks, preventative updates, and install software per RFCs and TCTOs.
• Maintain Puppet and Satellite servers for automated Linux VM deployment.
• Work with OEM engineers to resolve issues, update procedures, and author knowledge articles.

Requirements

• Clearance: TS/SCI
• 8570 Compliant certificate (Security+) is required; Linux+ preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field + 0-3 years experience (substitutions: 6 years experience or Associate’s + 4 years)
• Ability to perform duties independently and assist senior positions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel if required
