What you will do

• Lead complex, ambiguous projects end-to-end, partnering with stakeholders and engineers to deliver impact
• Operate with high ownership: identify problems, shape solutions, and drive execution
• Collaborate with distributed teams across UK, US, Canada, and Israel using async-first practices
• Contribute to cross-cutting initiatives and build shared product primitives
• Make tradeoffs balancing business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability
• Raise standards for code quality, system design, and operational excellence
• Shape engineering culture in a growing distributed team

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-stack experience with strong backend expertise
• Proven ability to lead large cross-functional projects from scoping to delivery
• High agency and self-direction, comfortable as the only local engineer
• Strong communication skills for distributed, async-first environments
• Track record building user-facing SaaS products for startups and enterprises
• Experience building 0→1 products and scaling systems in fast-paced settings

Nice to have

• Experience with Typescript and GraphQL
• Open to using AI responsibly to amplify skills
