What you will do

• Design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for fiber optic cable production.
• Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve defects and maintain product integrity.
• Work with vendors on equipment upgrades and maintenance strategies.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Provide technical support to production teams for process-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar Engineering-related field.
• 1-year practical experience in a manufacturing environment encompassing manufacturing engineering, statistical planning techniques, business systems, project management, and/or quality control. Experience through internships or co-ops preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in telecommunications or fiber optic cable manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience with extrusion processes, including polymer handling and die design.
