Senior Data Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Data Engineer (Data Platform): Building and evolving scalable data platforms to enable analytics, experimentation, and intelligent products with an accent on pipeline reliability, dimensional modeling, and modern ELT patterns. Focus on designing robust batch and streaming architectures, optimizing query performance in ClickHouse, and establishing organizational standards for data governance and quality.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data pipelines using Python, SQL, and Kafka.
• Model data for scale using dimensional modeling and Kimball principles to enable self-serve analytics.
• Manage transformation layers in dbt to improve testing, documentation, and system reliability.
• Optimize data storage and query performance, particularly within ClickHouse.
• Strengthen platform reliability by improving orchestration, observability, and failure recovery in Kubernetes.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and mentor other engineers to drive high technical standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional data engineering experience building production-grade platforms.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python and SQL.
• Proven experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of dimensional data modeling and Kimball methodology.
• Experience deploying and operating data workloads in Kubernetes-based environments.
• Hands-on experience with dbt and modern ELT/ETL patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP cloud environments.
• Background in consumer products, health, food-tech, or personalization.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks, observability tooling, and CI/CD for data systems.
• Experience building platforms that serve both analytics and operational product needs.
