What you will do

• Check models, assemblies, and manufacturing methods, addressing potential difficulties before production release.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure technical feasibility and high-quality standards from early design stages.
• Support engineers in designing components according to internal manufacturing constraints and standards.
• Design equipment such as mounting and cleaning fixtures, creating CAD models and drawings.
• Design and implement Ground Support Equipment (GSE), including jigs, from quote to build-up and integration checks.
• Create Manufacturing Bill of Material (mBOM) and Bill of Process (BOP).

Requirements

• B.Sc/M.Sc in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or apprenticeship with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Strong practical experience with CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
• Strong knowledge in various manufacturing methods (e.g., milling, turning, metal sheet, carbon fiber, or Additive Manufacturing).
• Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience in work preparation.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience in CAD standards (e.g., DIN, EN, ISO).
