TL;DR

Azure Cloud/DevOps Engineer (Azure): Designing and managing secure cloud solutions for federal IT environments with an accent on Azure infrastructure, automation, and federal compliance. Focus on implementing Terraform for IaC, optimizing AVD environments, and building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

Location: Hybrid, On-site 4 days/week in Washington, D.C. and 1 day Telework

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, VNets, Storage, Azure AD, and PaaS services.
• Develop and maintain Terraform templates as the primary Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool.
• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools and session hosts.
• Build, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines within GitLab.
• Implement secure cloud practices aligned with federal frameworks such as NIST, RMF, and FedRAMP.
• Utilize Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to diagnose issues and ensure system health.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Active Secret or higher clearance.
• Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC four days per week.
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Engineering, Terraform, and GitLab.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with PowerShell scripting.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting DoD or federal agency cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Experience with Azure serverless tools like Functions, Logic Apps, and Event Grid.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices and Azure Cost Management.
