What you will do

• Develop the onboard C++ Remote Assist system and integrate it with visualization, mapping, and perception subsystems.
• Design and own the networking and communications stack for the remote assistance product.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of cloud and robotics engineers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Contribute to code reviews and design discussions across the full stack, including cloud and frontend.
• Partner with tech leads and cross-functional teams including design and infrastructure engineering.
• Participate in on-call rotations and attend quarterly on-sites in Pittsburgh.

Requirements

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Expertise in modern network protocols such as HTTP3, QUIC, WebSockets, or gRPC.
• Experience with streaming technologies such as WebRTC.
• Ability to verify U.S. person status and comply with U.S. national security and export control laws.

Nice to have

• Experience in Autonomous Vehicles (AV) or Robotics.
• Background in Remote Assistance, Motion Planning, or Mapping.
• Experience with simulation testing and automated testing.
