What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting and transforming vehicle data to the cloud.
• Architect real-time streaming solutions for continuous data offloading, prioritizing high throughput and low latency.
• Optimize real-time pipelines to improve data freshness using medallion architecture principles.
• Implement advanced queuing and prioritization mechanisms to enable on-demand data processing.
• Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers, promoting technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with software engineers, cloud architects, and data scientists to deliver impactful data solutions.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Expert-level proficiency in distributed data processing frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, preferably with experience in lower-level embedded systems languages.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and messaging services like Kafka or Kinesis.
• Proven ability to design fault-tolerant, scalable data stream processing systems.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
