TL;DR

System Quality Assurance Co-op (Robotics): Performing manual testing of app-connected software-based robotic products with an accent on test case execution and defect documentation. Location: Onsite in Needham, MA (Must be able to work in office 5 days per week). No relocation assistance provided.

Salary: $27 - $32 per hour

What you will do

• Manually test a variety of hirify.global products applying a consumer-centric approach.
• Develop new testing protocols and test cases based on product requirements and real-world environments.
• Document detailed test results and create thorough reports of software defects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot issues with test units and field returns.
• Participate in project sprints, daily standups, and reviews of product and software requirements.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program.
• Must be able to work onsite in Needham, MA 5 days per week.
• Coursework in electrical/mechanical engineering, computer science, or robotics.
• Practical experience with robotics, including microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and sensors (IR, Lidar).
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience with Jira or similar defect management tools.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with firmware-based consumer products.
• Programming or scripting experience in C++, Python, or TTL.
• Familiarity with topics in the CSQE Body of Knowledge.
