What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs for the Machine Identity Security platform.
• Contribute to backend architecture and system design, focusing on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build integrations and tooling that support platform extensibility, including APIs, SDKs, and system-to-system integrations.
• Develop and operate distributed systems supporting high-scale, multi-tenant environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including platform, security, and infrastructure to deliver backend capabilities.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support production systems, ensuring high availability, timely incident response, and overall service reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Proven experience building modern, scalable backend or distributed systems.
• Experience with AI-first development.
• Strong proficiency with Golang, Java, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of x509, PKI, and certificate issuance protocols is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high performance engineering environment.
