What you will do

• Move the team to a product-thinking approach, ensuring every model has a clear owner, defined SLAs, and documented business value.
• Proactively identify and remove systemic bottlenecks in the development lifecycle.
• Own the Looker visualization environment and deliver dashboard solutions for scalable decision-making.
• Design, develop, and maintain an efficient and scalable workflow environment using tools like dbt.
• Co-author and enforce high-bar Analytics Engineering standards in collaboration with Data Engineering.
• Translate business objectives into technical milestones, focusing on projects that move the company’s North Star metrics.

Requirements

• Experience in leading analytics engineering teams and transforming data capabilities.
• Proficiency in data modeling, SQL, and tools like dbt and Looker.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and cost-efficient SQL practices.
• Ability to implement business and technical ownership expectations and robust monitoring.
• Must be based within commuting distance of our hubs.
• English is the official language at the office.
