What you will do

• Design and define SQL Server service architecture for mission-critical applications.
• Install, configure, and manage SQL Server instances across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Optimize database performance through advanced indexing strategies and statistics management.
• Implement and maintain robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Serve as the final escalation point for complex technical issues and major incidents.
• Audit security controls and ensure compliance across database environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be located in Canada to be eligible for this position.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise SQL Server administration.
• Advanced expertise in SQL Server architecture, configuration, and maintenance.
• Proven capability in managing performance tuning and optimization in large-scale environments.
• In-depth knowledge of database security, user access controls, and compliance.

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in Analysis Services or Reporting Services.
• Experience with Azure SQL (PaaS) and enterprise monitoring tools.
