Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant (Finance): Responsible for the preparation, reconciliation, and analysis of consolidated financial accounts under US GAAP for a listed US company with an accent on accuracy and integrity of global financial reporting across numerous international locations. What you will do

• Complete monthly BvA analysis and book appropriate accruals across cost of sales and professional fee accounts.
• Prepare detailed balance sheet and other account reconciliations, ensuring they are properly explained and fully supported in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements in all accounting and reconciliation activities.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency and optimize workflows through automation.
• Support complex business transactions, system implementations/upgrades, and other ad hoc requests and special projects.
• Establish and maintain strong, collaborative business partnerships with members of the global finance organization and key cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3+ years of PQE or 5+ years progressive finance/accounting experience.
• Proven experience with consolidated financial statements, US GAAP, and SOX reporting is essential.
• Experience working at the corporate level for publicly-traded companies.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• A mix of public and private accounting experience.
• Experience dealing with multiple currencies and foreign exchange (FX) impacts, including currency translations.
• Previous experience with system implementations and consolidation systems.
• Demonstrated experience with process improvement methodologies.
