What you will do

• Develop fixes and features for Kubernetes and related CNCF projects using Go.
• Lead architectural design through Key Enhancement Proposals (KEPs) and community-aligned processes.
• Ensure compatibility of Kubernetes versions with automated pipelines and testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with global open source communities to influence project roadmaps and integrations.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead technical efforts to reduce technical debt and improve efficiency.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and mitigate production issues through on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US.
• 10-12+ years of related experience in system software engineering.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals and contributions to at least one CNCF project.
• Strong proficiency in Go programming and familiarity with cloud platform architectures.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, databases, and algorithms.
• Proven history of leading technical system software projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with vSphere and operational knowledge of Kubernetes in production.
• Material contributions to multiple CNCF projects such as Cluster API, ArgoCD, Helm, or Istio.
• Expertise in container runtimes, kernel, or operating system functionality.
