What you will do

• Define SLOs and capacity plans for the cloud storage layer.
• Build performant, multi-tenant distributed storage services.
• Ensure the reliability, durability, and operational safety of storage infrastructure.
• Implement automated solutions to optimize processes and reduce toil.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support storage systems.
• Analyze and optimize infrastructure performance from the application level to the kernel.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Experience operating stateful storage or database systems at scale.
• Expertise in cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Linux internals and networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS).
• Must be based in Canada and aligned with Eastern or Central time zones.

• Experience leading major architectural shifts in storage systems.
• Background in managing large-scale data and workload migrations.
• Ability to design secure, multi-tenant runtime environments.
