What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance full-stack applications using Java and JavaScript.
• Architect backend services, APIs, and microservices with a focus on reliability and maintainability.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality frontend user experiences.
• Partner with product managers to translate business requirements into technical strategy and system designs.
• Lead architectural discussions and influence technical decisions for long-term scalability.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level developers to foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional fullstack experience with strong expertise in Java (11/17+).
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of system design principles including scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in Ontario, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA).
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Proficiency with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• Experience building AI-integrated product architectures or integrating with SAP ABAP/HANA.
