What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Scala, or Python.
• Implement large-scale data processing workflows using Apache Spark to support business analytics.
• Develop high-performance data access layers with efficient querying, caching, and low-latency retrieval.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-native services on Kubernetes or ECS and integrate with cloud infrastructure.
• Design API contracts and cross-service communication patterns including REST, RPC, and asynchronous messaging.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines via GitLab CI to ensure reliable software delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of designing API contracts and service interfaces (REST, RPC).
• Experience with CI/CD workflows and observability practices (metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing).
• Must be based in or within normal commuting distance of San Francisco, CA.
