DevOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

DevOps Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes): Creating and maintaining the core infrastructure for a vacation rental platform with an accent on automation, scalability, and system reliability. Focus on implementing Infrastructure as Code, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and improving observability across the tech organization.

Location: Hybrid in Munich, Germany (50% in-office time required)

What you will do

• Implement and maintain infrastructure definitions using Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CDK.
• Manage and monitor AWS services to ensure system performance, availability, and adherence to best practices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters, including deploying workloads and upgrading EKS.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and ArgoRollouts.
• Extend the monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana) and improve observability.
• Automate operational tasks using Python, Bash, or Go and AI-powered tools like N8N.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering role with production experience.
• Solid experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
• Proficiency in scripting with Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
• Must be able to work from the Munich office 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm charts and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and AI tools to augment DevOps workflows.
• Experience with cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure.
• Exposure to SRE practices (SLOs, error budgets) and DevSecOps.
