Senior Platform Engineer - Security (Cloud Security)

TL;DR

Senior Platform Engineer - Security (Azure/Kubernetes): Designing and implementing Zero Trust based security solutions and cloud-native infrastructure with an accent on Infrastructure as Code, IAM, and Micro-Segmentation. Focus on building secure cloud ecosystems, optimizing performance, and mentoring junior developers to enhance E.ON's DevOps capabilities.

Location: Hybrid (Hannover, Berlin, Hamburg, München, Essen, Würzburg, Germany). Workation for up to 20 days per year within Europe is possible.

What you will do

• Design and implement Zero Trust based solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and languages such as Python and Go.
• Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM roles, policies, encryption, and auditing.
• Architect secure designs within a cloud-native ecosystem, with a specific focus on Kubernetes.
• Continuously improve the product by monitoring performance, optimizing costs, and incorporating stakeholder feedback.
• Analyze and test innovative technologies to enhance the team's technical capabilities.
• Mentor junior developers and security-focused operations staff to support their professional growth.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Profound understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and design in a DevOps environment.
• Deep expertise in cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
• Strong collaborative abilities and proven experience in mentoring and team development.
• Solid understanding of Networking and Security technologies and concepts.
• Experience working within an agile, distributed, multi-national team.
