TL;DR

SW Developer - Microcontrollers (Embedded): Developing drivers, subsystems, and middleware for next-generation MCUs with an accent on Zephyr RTOS and open-source contributions. Focus on board bring-up, low-level debugging, and upstreaming features to the open-source community.

Location: Must have a valid visa and work permit to work in the Czech Republic (Brno or Rožnov p.R.)

What you will do

  • Implement drivers, subsystems, and middleware in C for new MCU devices.
  • Create Zephyr support including device trees, DTS bindings, and Kconfig.
  • Perform board and SoC bring-up for clock, pinmux, power, boot, and memory maps.
  • Contribute to open-source upstream via PRs, reviews, and RFCs.
  • Diagnose low-level hardware issues using debuggers, traces, and logic analyzers.

Requirements

  • Practical experience with embedded programming in C.
  • Solid understanding of microcontroller architecture fundamentals.
  • Experience with GIT or other version control tools.
  • English: B2 (effective written and spoken communication) required.
  • Must possess a valid visa and work permit for the Czech Republic.

Nice to have

  • Experience with MCUXpresso or similar silicon vendor ecosystems.
  • Proficiency with Zephyr (device tree, Kconfig, west).
  • Knowledge of MCU interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, I2S, SDIO.
  • Knowledge of the Rust language.
  • Scripting skills in Python and build tools like Make.
