What you will do

• Design, prototype, and implement scalable gameplay systems using Unreal Engine 5 and visual scripting.
• Translate high-level design concepts into functional engineering specifications and technical design documents.
• Collaborate with designers and programmers to refine gameplay logic and player experience.
• Optimize and debug Blueprint scripts to ensure performance and stability.
• Create tutorials for other designers to utilize gameplay objects effectively.
• Work with QA to identify and resolve gameplay-related bugs and issues.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in game development, preferably in a AAA studio.
• Strong proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, specifically visual gameplay scripting.
• Solid understanding of gameplay logic, state machines, and player feedback loops.
• Ability to read and understand C++ code for debugging and basic scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be based in Ireland

Nice to have

• Familiarity with animation systems, AI behavior trees, and UI implementation in Unreal.
• Background in programming.
• Deep understanding of player psychology and engagement.
