What you will do
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and strong financial controls.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Corporate Accountants through regular 1-on-1s and career planning.
- Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audits, performing internal controls for SOX compliance.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency through automation, AI, and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with FP&A and Financial Reporting teams to align on budgets, forecasts, and disclosure requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the accounting team across other finance functions.
Requirements
- CPA designation and B.Comm in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent).
- 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role or public accounting (audit).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience with complex technical accounting (e.g., leases, commission capitalization).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and a demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives.
- Fluency in English is required as the primary working language for this global company.

- Experience with NetSuite accounting systems.
- Experience reporting under SOX and working with publicly traded companies.
