TL;DR

Trade Client Manager (Trade Finance): Managing operational and credit risk for a portfolio of SME and Mid Corporate clients with an accent on working capital and risk management. Focus on growing income and lending, preparing credit applications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Location: Hybrid (Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, or Leeds) — must spend at least two days per week (40%) in office

What you will do

  • Manage operational and credit risk across a portfolio of Trade clients within Specialist Commercial Banking Sales.
  • Onboard new Trade clients and provide guidance on operating Trade instruments and lending.
  • Drive income and lending growth by identifying and meeting additional client needs.
  • Prepare and submit credit applications for facility renewals or increases in conjunction with Relationship Teams.
  • Monitor trade facilities and report key performance trends to stakeholders.
  • Ensure strict adherence to risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements to protect the bank's reputation.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, credit risk, and working capital management.
  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a portfolio management environment.
  • Must be based in or able to commute to Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, or Leeds for hybrid work (minimum 40% office attendance).
