What you will do

• Develop database architecture patterns and best practices for schema design, high availability, and performance.
• Lead collaborative efforts to define and implement data contracts for in-house products.
• Create decision frameworks and reference materials to help teams design scalable database solutions independently.
• Partner with Analytics and Security teams to integrate contract metadata and policy checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor engineers and DBAs on data contract design and the downstream impact of architectural decisions.
• Provide early-stage guidance in the development lifecycle to identify risks and opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in database design, data modelling, or database engineering.
• Strong expertise in relational databases, with a preference for PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Solid understanding of RDBMS internals, performance considerations, and architectural trade-offs.
• Experience working in cloud-first or hybrid environments.
• Based in Estonia or Serbia; ability to travel occasionally.
