TL;DR

Location: Hybrid (3 days a week at the office in Barcelona, Spain)
Salary: €45k–€60k gross/year

What you will do
- Design, develop, and test backend solutions using microservices and event-driven systems to handle thousands of communications per minute.
- Embed AI intelligence directly into backend workflows and customer-facing features.
- Create internal and client-facing interfaces to enable seamless service usage across teams.
- Measure and ruthlessly optimize system impact to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
- Integrate with third-party services and vendors with a focus on interoperability and robust error handling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a software developer with a strong background in distributed systems.
- Proven track record of developing scalable backend applications in Python or TypeScript.
- Experience with microservice architectures, event-driven systems (Kafka or similar), and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Ability to own the reliability and observability of systems, from instrumentation to alerting.
- Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Barcelona, Spain
